Motorola Marco Open Part

Here is the Motorola Marco open. You can use it two ways: 1. Open like this (of course with the battery connected); 2. or folded over. I do not know who would use the Marco open like this but you can.

Reader Comments: The Marco was designed to lay flat so it would be easier to write on if it were setting on a desk. Try folding it up, set it on a flat surface and try writing on it for a while. It get's hard because it's so high up. Now try laying it flat - it's much easier to use that way if you are taking notes in a long boring meeting.

Another reason for the fold-up design was commonality with the Envoy design. The Marco's OS is oriented in 'portrait' mode while the Envoy's OS was oriented in 'landscape' mode. The Envoy could be folded closed, folded open, laid flat or tee peed. In tee pee mode you unfold the back from the front just a little so that the hinge is pointing up and it bcomes free standing. It's nice that way because you can set it on your desk and always have a clear view of it (kind of like a glorified desk clock). This would have worked with the Marco too had it been around long enough to get upgraded to OS 2.0.

Reader Comments 2: The things I loved about the Marco was that it used the same battery as the Envoy. This allowed me to swap batteries between the two machines.
